Named after my favourite street in Toronto, this is a cozy but lightweight cardigan that you can wear year-round: layered over a long-sleeved shirt and under your winter coat when the snow is coming down, or thrown over your summer dresses when it’s not quite warm enough for bare arms. The stepped hemline, side slits, and shoulder shaping make for a flattering fit for all body types, and you get two looks from this one project: wear it ribbed side out for a more edgy, casual look, or knit side out for a more classic style. Either way, this will become a wardrobe staple.
The back and fronts of this cardigan are worked flat and seamed together. Sleeves are picked up and 
worked in the round from the top down, after knitted-in sleeve caps are worked using short-row shaping. Garter stitch button bands are picked up along the front edges, and a simple stockinette band finishes the neckline. This might seem like a lot of finishing, but don’t let that put you off: the results are really worth the effort.
